Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, and twisting for extended periods
- Experience in maintenance or custodial work preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
- Reliable transportation to and from work location
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance or similar role preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, and bending for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and safety procedures
- Willingness to adhere to property rules and emergency procedures
Job Duties
- Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
- Shampooing carpets and cleaning hard surface floors
- Performing light electrical work such as changing outlets or switches
- Performing light plumbing duties such as plunging and unclogging toilets and sinks
- Performing drywall repair, painting, caulking, and general janitorial work in public spaces
- Maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
- Prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
- Knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring security of the property and guests
- Performing other duties as assigned
