Job Requirements

  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks as per job description
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • availability to work flexible hours
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to follow safety and emergency protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance, housekeeping, or custodial work preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending, and twisting for long periods
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • effective communication and teamwork skills
  • basic electrical and plumbing knowledge is advantageous

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • performing light plumbing including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
  • conducting preventative maintenance programs
  • completing public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep
  • performing trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • repairing drywall
  • painting
  • caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • following property emergency procedures
  • ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
