Job Requirements

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders repeatedly
  • capability to kneel, squat, sit, stand, bend and twist for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in hotel maintenance or property management preferred
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
  • strong organizational and inventory management skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good communication and problem-solving abilities
  • physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets and cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing outlets or wall switches
  • conducting light plumbing duties including plunging and snaking toilets and unclogging sinks
  • executing preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • repairing drywall
  • painting and caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
