Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior maintenance experience preferred
  • ability to perform light electrical and plumbing work
  • physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • capable of repetitive climbing, kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending, and twisting for long periods
  • must follow property emergency procedures
  • flexible to perform multiple hotel-related duties
  • willingness to assist with housekeeping and laundry tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred
  • strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • ability to perform light electrical and plumbing tasks
  • effective inventory management skills
  • good communication and teamwork abilities
  • ability to follow safety guidelines and emergency procedures
  • physically able to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, squatting, bending and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • light plumbing duties including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
  • conducting preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep
  • cleaning trash areas
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • drywall repair
  • painting
  • caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers by removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
