Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • physical ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs
  • ability to perform tasks involving kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending and twisting for long periods of time
  • repetitive climbing of stairs and ladders
  • willingness to perform light electrical and plumbing repairs
  • flexibility to assist in various hotel duties including maintenance, cleaning, room prep, and laundry
  • ability to follow property emergency procedures and maintain guest security
  • drug-free workplace compliance

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or property management preferred
  • knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing repairs
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • strong organizational skills
  • good communication skills
  • physical ability to perform maintenance tasks and lift up to 50 pounds
  • familiarity with safety and emergency procedures

Job Duties

  • managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • handling light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
  • conducting public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
  • performing ptac cleaning, drywall repair, painting, caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
