Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- physical ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs
- ability to perform tasks involving kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending and twisting for long periods of time
- repetitive climbing of stairs and ladders
- willingness to perform light electrical and plumbing repairs
- flexibility to assist in various hotel duties including maintenance, cleaning, room prep, and laundry
- ability to follow property emergency procedures and maintain guest security
- drug-free workplace compliance
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in hotel maintenance or property management preferred
- knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing repairs
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong organizational skills
- good communication skills
- physical ability to perform maintenance tasks and lift up to 50 pounds
- familiarity with safety and emergency procedures
Job Duties
- managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
- shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
- performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
- handling light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
- conducting public space janitorial work
- maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
- performing ptac cleaning, drywall repair, painting, caulking
- maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
- prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
- knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
- performing other duties as assigned
