Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • reliable transportation for commute
  • ability to follow safety standards and emergency protocols
  • flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • ability to work in various weather conditions
  • basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in property maintenance or hotel environment preferred
  • ability to handle minor electrical and plumbing repairs
  • strong organizational skills for inventory management
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good communication skills
  • familiarity with safety and emergency procedures
  • physical capability to perform repetitive climbing of stairs and ladders
  • ability to perform tasks involving kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending, and twisting for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • handling light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
  • conducting preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • maintaining the parking lot and performing trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • repairing drywall
  • painting
  • caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures
  • ensuring security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
