Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or similar role preferred
  • ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • capability to follow safety standards and emergency procedures
  • availability to work flexible hours
  • basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
  • good organizational skills
  • attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in maintenance or custodial roles preferred
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • performing light plumbing such as plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
  • conducting preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • managing parking lot upkeep
  • trash cleanup
  • PTAC cleaning
  • drywall repair
  • painting
  • caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, and moving furniture
  • reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures
  • ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
