- ability to perform maintenance and cleaning duties
- physical capability to lift up to 50lbs
- ability to climb stairs and ladders repetitively
- good communication skills
- ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
- flexibility to handle multiple tasks and work in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hotel maintenance or property attendant role preferred
- basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
- ability to use cleaning and maintenance equipment safely
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- good communication and teamwork abilities
- physically able to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for long periods
- willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
Job Duties
- managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
- shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
- performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
- performing light plumbing such as plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
- conducting preventative maintenance programs
- performing public space janitorial work
- maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
- cleaning PTAC units
- performing drywall repair, painting, and caulking
- maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
- prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
- knowing and following property emergency procedures
- ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
- performing other duties as assigned
