Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a maintenance or property attendant role
  • capability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • knowledge of basic maintenance tasks such as electrical and plumbing
  • ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
  • good physical endurance for repetitive climbing, kneeling, standing, and bending
  • flexible availability

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • strong attention to detail
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing maintenance
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • willingness to work flexible hours

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets and cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing outlets or wall switches
  • conducting light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets and unclogging sinks
  • performing preventative maintenance programs
  • janitorial work in public spaces
  • maintaining parking lot cleanliness and trash cleanup
  • PTAC cleaning
  • drywall repair, painting, and caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers by removing linens and trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures
  • ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
