Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform repetitive climbing of stairs and ladders
  • Ability to perform tasks involving kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending and twisting for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to complete multiple hotel responsibilities

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting, bending, and climbing
  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • Shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • Performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • Handling light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets, snaking toilets and unclogging sinks
  • Conducting preventative maintenance programs
  • Performing public space janitorial work and parking lot upkeep
  • Cleaning trash and PTAC units
  • Repairing drywall and painting
  • Caulking as needed
  • Maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • Providing orders to management
  • Prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • Knowing and following property emergency procedures
  • Ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • Performing other duties as assigned
