Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • experience in preventative maintenance and light repair work
  • willingness to perform janitorial and housekeeping support duties
  • strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • ability to climb stairs and ladders repeatedly
  • capability to kneel, squat, sit, stand, bend, and twist for long periods
  • commitment to follow property emergency procedures
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • flexibility to work varied shifts if required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in building maintenance or hotel property upkeep
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • excellent communication skills
  • flexible and adaptable to changing tasks
  • familiarity with safety and emergency procedures
  • physical ability to perform required tasks

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • conducting light plumbing including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
  • participating in preventative maintenance programs
  • handling public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
  • performing PTAC cleaning, drywall repair, painting, and caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • providing maintenance orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers by removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures
  • ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
