Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in maintenance or housekeeping preferred
  • ability to climb stairs and use ladders
  • capable of performing physical tasks including kneeling, squatting, bending, twisting for long periods
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • commitment to a drug-free workplace

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in property maintenance or hotel operations preferred
  • ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 pounds
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • flexibility to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • performing light plumbing including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
  • maintaining preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • managing parking lot upkeep, trash cleanup, PTAC cleaning, drywall repair, painting, caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture
  • reviewing maintenance needs in rooms
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures
  • ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
