Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in hotel maintenance or property upkeep preferred
- basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
- ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools
- strong organizational and inventory management skills
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- ability to follow safety and emergency protocols
Job Duties
- Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
- shampooing carpets
- cleaning hard surface floors
- performing light electrical work such as changing outlets or wall switches
- light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
- executing preventative maintenance programs
- janitorial work in public spaces
- parking lot upkeep
- trash cleanup
- cleaning PTAC units
- drywall repair
- painting
- caulking
- maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
- prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
- knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring property and guest security
- performing other duties as assigned
