Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or property upkeep preferred
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools
  • strong organizational and inventory management skills
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and emergency protocols

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets
  • cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing outlets or wall switches
  • light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
  • executing preventative maintenance programs
  • janitorial work in public spaces
  • parking lot upkeep
  • trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • drywall repair
  • painting
  • caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring property and guest security
  • performing other duties as assigned
