Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in maintenance or hospitality environment
  • ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • flexibility to handle multiple duties
  • knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
  • good problem-solving skills
  • availability to work various shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good communication skills
  • reliable and detail-oriented
  • physical ability to perform maintenance and cleaning tasks

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing outlets or wall switches
  • conducting light plumbing including plunging and snaking toilets and unclogging sinks
  • implementing preventative maintenance programs
  • janitorial work in public spaces
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • performing drywall repair, painting, and caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
