Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs
  • physical capability to perform repetitive tasks involving kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending, twisting
  • experience with general maintenance and janitorial work
  • willingness to climb stairs and ladders

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hotel maintenance or custodial services preferred
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment and maintenance tools safely
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
  • dependable and flexible team player
  • ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets and cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing outlets or wall switches
  • performing light plumbing including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
  • executing preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • drywall repair, painting, and caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
