Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or a related role preferred
  • physical ability to perform repetitive climbing of stairs and ladders
  • ability to kneel, squat, sit, stand, bend and twist for long periods
  • ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • flexibility to work varied tasks
  • willingness to follow property emergency procedures
  • commitment to safety and guest satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in hotel maintenance or property attendant roles preferred
  • knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing repairs
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • strong organizational skills
  • attention to detail
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good communication skills
  • flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities
  • understanding of emergency procedures
  • basic inventory management skills

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets
  • cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • performing light plumbing including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, unclogging sinks
  • carrying out preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep
  • handling trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • drywall repair
  • painting
  • caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
