Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in maintenance or hotel property services preferred
- ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform tasks involving kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending, and twisting for long periods
- flexibility to work varied shifts
- commitment to follow safety and emergency procedures
- reliable and punctual
- strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in hotel maintenance or a related field preferred
- ability to perform light electrical and plumbing repairs
- strong organizational and time management skills
- good communication and teamwork abilities
- knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
- ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment
- physical capability to perform repetitive climbing, bending, lifting, and other demanding tasks
Job Duties
- Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
- shampooing carpets and cleaning hard surface floors
- performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
- performing light plumbing tasks such as plunging toilets and unclogging sinks
- conducting public space janitorial work including parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
- cleaning PTAC units, drywall repair, painting, and caulking
- maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
- prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, and reviewing maintenance needs
- knowing and following property emergency procedures and ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
- performing other duties as assigned
