Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED required
- prior experience in event planning or coordination preferred
- ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work independently and manage teams under pressure
- familiarity with event management software and online registration platforms
- available to work Monday through Friday with occasional weekend events
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to negotiate and contract with vendors
- capable of handling last-minute changes and problem-solving under pressure
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- plan and organize events within Johnston Campus
- oversee large event spaces including Cafe, Conference and Training rooms
- coordinate menu selection, décor, and vendor management
- manage event budgets and adhere to financial guidelines
- liaise with the local Johnston community and parks
- act as event host and provide exemplary customer service
- handle guest list management and registration coordination
- oversee event staffing and volunteer coordination
- manage last-minute changes and problem solve effectively
