Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED required
  • prior experience in event planning or coordination preferred
  • ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work independently and manage teams under pressure
  • familiarity with event management software and online registration platforms
  • available to work Monday through Friday with occasional weekend events
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to negotiate and contract with vendors
  • capable of handling last-minute changes and problem-solving under pressure

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • plan and organize events within Johnston Campus
  • oversee large event spaces including Cafe, Conference and Training rooms
  • coordinate menu selection, décor, and vendor management
  • manage event budgets and adhere to financial guidelines
  • liaise with the local Johnston community and parks
  • act as event host and provide exemplary customer service
  • handle guest list management and registration coordination
  • oversee event staffing and volunteer coordination
  • manage last-minute changes and problem solve effectively
