Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B)
- Hold valid Hazmat endorsement
- Hold valid Tanker endorsement
- Meet all medical and safety standards required by DOT Regulations and company policies
- Pass all required drug and alcohol screening tests including pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random
- Ability to load, unload, and secure products using company approved methods
- Ability to operate special equipment related to delivery
- Capable of lifting and carrying products up to 80 pounds with or without mechanical aid
- Able to work in extreme temperatures
- Able to stay alert while driving for up to 12 hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience as a fuel or propane delivery driver preferred
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Ability to operate special equipment required for product delivery
- Proficient in using electronic devices such as tablets
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
Job Duties
- Transport and deliver the products of Jernigan Oil Company, Inc. in a professional, safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner
- Secure all hoses and other essential tools required by the job using company approved methods such as wrapped pallets, straps, and tie downs
- Load and unload trailers when required while performing frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of products, hoses, propane bottles and applicable tools
- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under State and Federal Laws and Regulations
- Ensure that all operations comply with State and Federal Laws and Regulations and company policies
- Comply with all provisions listed within the Jernigan Oil Company, Inc. Employee Handbook
- Represent Jernigan Oil Company, Inc. to customers and the public in a professional manner at all times
