Job Requirements
- DL/HM/Class B/MC/EXP= one year or equivalent
- hazmat and tanker endorsements required
- high school graduate level or equivalent education
- successful completion of company training programs
- general understanding of propane industry and applicable regulations
- knowledge of properties of propane gas
- working knowledge of bulk plant and bulk truck equipment
- working knowledge of propane delivery procedures
- ability to operate vehicles, telephones, calculators, hand and power tools
- mechanical aptitude
- valid driver’s license with tanks and hazardous materials endorsements
- satisfactory Department of Transportation compliance
- maintain all DOT records and logs
- maintain a good driving record with required endorsements
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- successful completion of company training programs
- general understanding of propane industry codes and regulations
- knowledge of propane properties and loading/withdrawal procedures
- working knowledge of bulk plant and truck equipment
- ability to operate motor vehicles, telephones, calculators, and hand/power tools
- mechanical aptitude
- valid CDL Class B driver’s license with hazmat and tanker endorsements
- satisfactory completion of Department of Transportation requirements
- maintain all DOT records and logs
- good driving record with required endorsements
Job Duties
- Operate truck and delivery equipment safely
- deliver propane gas
- perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicle and equipment
- document findings of inspections and ensure appropriate action is taken
- prepare and maintain all required Department of Transportation documentation
- observe all traffic rules and practice defensive driving techniques
- observe all company, industry, and regulatory safety guidelines
- record deliveries, meter readings, and tank percentages accurately
- check credit status of customers before deliveries when on call
- collect payments and disconnect gas service as directed
- keep Delivery Manager informed of inventory levels
- prepare and submit daily driver settlement reports
- verify settlement report accuracy
- inspect bulk plants, delivery equipment, and report needs to management
- report unsafe conditions immediately
- inspect equipment at customer sites for compliance
- maintain vehicle cleanliness and mechanical condition
- paint storage tanks
- disconnect/reconnect gas service and relight appliances per policy
- assist in installation of tanks and equipment
- provide friendly customer service
- resolve customer problems sensitively
- cooperate with management and colleagues
- participate in company functions and training seminars
- assist installation and service personnel
- commit to quality customer service
- engage in industry and company knowledge improvement activities
- perform other related duties as assigned
