Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Four years of responsible experience in urban development, capital improvement, or construction projects
  • Ability to pass criminal background check
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if position requires vehicle operation
  • Physical capability to operate vehicles safely
  • Familiarity with TSA employment disqualifiers for airport work
  • Compliance with City of Phoenix pay grade and promotion/demotion policies
  • Ability to submit application materials online by deadline
  • Willingness to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Commitment to public service principles

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, urban planning, architecture, engineering, construction management, economics, or related field
  • Four years of responsible experience in urban development, redevelopment, business assistance, capital improvement, design and/or construction projects with supervisory or participatory involvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and writing skills
  • Ability to develop consensus on complex issues
  • Knowledge of FAA, TSA, and CBP policies and standards
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and blueprints
  • Experience managing multiple project schedules and budgets
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to produce clear reports and presentations

Job Duties

  • Manage multiple Job Order Contracting (JOC) and divisional projects including scheduling and budgeting
  • Coordinate with Design and Construction Services Division to ensure project compliance
  • Direct and oversee all phases of project planning, implementation, and completion
  • Review and prepare project submittals and cost estimates
  • Collaborate effectively with aviation staff, tenants, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Analyze project schedules and critical paths to ensure timely delivery
  • Monitor project budgets and enforce financial controls in coordination with budget liaisons
