Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- minimum eight years of relevant aviation engineering experience
- ability to obtain professional engineering (P.E.) license within 12 months if not already licensed
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
- experience with FAA regulations and pavement design
- self-motivation and strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Job Qualifications
- Eight plus years of aviation engineering design experience
- professional engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months
- familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating
- knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and Engineering Briefs
- experience with pavement design and FAAR Field Design Software
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation
- strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff
- strong client engagement and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction
- manage project tasks including design and permitting
- coordinate construction activities
- collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
- maintain high-quality plan sets and review work of others
- assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules
- build and maintain professional relationships with clients and contractors
