Job Qualifications
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed
- undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent required
- 5+ years' work experience in construction or engineering, vertical construction is preferred
- 2+ years' experience managing engineers and project subcontractors
- ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications and contract documents
- highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
- strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
- demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure that nobody gets hurt

Job Duties
- Perform contract compliance, quality control and field oversight of subcontractors on the project
- develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications
- inspect field conditions to identify problems, inaccuracies and potential cost-saving measures
- take corrective actions as needed to resolve field issues
- review subordinates' work for compliance with contract documents
- address deficiencies and implement corrective measures
- project scheduling and coordination
- develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software
- collaborate with project management personnel to gather input and ensure schedule accuracy
- document control and change management
- handle project closeout
- manage document control processes including logging and tracking new issue drawings and contract documents
- review new issue drawings for changes in conditions
- quantify impacts and communicate with supervisor
- distribute updated documents to field teams and ensure proper implementation
- cost forecasting and financial planning
- prepare monthly cost projections using data from project management systems
- develop quarterly cash flow projections to support financial planning
- operational improvement and leadership
- recommend improvements to project operations including staffing, methods and procedures
- serve as managing project engineer/coordinator across multiple projects
- provide supervision and on-the-job training for junior engineers and project staff
