Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years' experience working with the elderly population or community volunteers
- Ability to travel locally up to 25 percent of the time
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable transportation for local travel
- Commitment to supporting vulnerable senior populations
Job Qualifications
- At least two years' experience working with the elderly population or community volunteers
- Two-year degree in a related field a plus
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Word preferred
- Ability to conduct public speaking engagements preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Conduct client intakes of seniors ages 60+ for the SEARCH program and match them with RSVP volunteers or senior companion volunteers
- Match RSVP volunteers with two food pantries in Somerset County
- Recruit volunteers
- Provide volunteers with training, supervision, guidance, recognition, and support
- Monitor matches made with clients and the volunteer support provided at food pantries
- Document volunteer hours and services provided monthly
- Conduct community outreach and marketing within Somerset County
