Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to coordinate and manage program activities
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, walk and use hands frequently
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and occasional evenings
- Ability to work in varying environments including indoors and outdoors
- Ability to occasionally be exposed to hazardous materials
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- Two to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement engaging resident programs
Job Duties
- Develops, implements and coordinates activities such as exercises, games, excursions, musical and cultural programs, and lectures to independent and assisted living residents to develop interpersonal relationships, to socialize effectively, and to foster mental, emotional and social interests
- Works with the Programs Manager to regulate content of programs in accordance with budget and residents' capabilities, needs and interests
- Organizes and coordinates special outings, and accompanies residents on outings such as excursions, luncheons, or sightseeing
- Designs, develops, organizes, coordinates and updates program flyer notifications in elevator lobbies, elevators and on bulletin boards
- Assists with organizing and maintaining the Outlook calendar of Programs events
- Communicates and collaborates with other departments to coordinate and facilitate scheduled events
- Develops and maintains a positive rapport with residents and encourages residents to develop leisure activities
- Assists Programs Manager in designing, developing and distributing the Programs and Wellness calendar and the Action Line monthly newsletter
- Collects and compiles attendance and participation records
- Sets up and troubleshoots AV equipment as necessary for events
- Works with the Programs Manager to coordinate Memorial Services
- Provides back-up for all Programs Department duties
