Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • at least 18 years of age
  • reliable transportation
  • valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • ability to conduct presentations to varied audience sizes
  • proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • customer service oriented
  • able to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • capable of lifting up to 30 pounds
  • able to operate office equipment safely
  • able to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Job Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • minimum of high school diploma or GED
  • capable of conducting presentations to small-large audiences
  • ability to relate effectively to diverse groups from all social and economic segments
  • must have reliable transportation
  • possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the agency’s standards

Job Duties

  • Drive the JEFC van to transport goods to and from the Junior Enlisted Family Center
  • organize and coordinate volunteer duties
  • recruit volunteers and ensure they complete the liability waiver, register in VMIS, and track hours
  • assist with public relations and communications strategies to support program goals and increase community awareness
  • answer administrative phone calls and field routine and non-routine questions
  • type and design general correspondence, memos, charts, tables, and graphs
  • assist in supervising volunteers, vendors, and staff during special events
  • manage multiple projects and assignments from staff and volunteers
  • accomplish projects with little supervision
  • assist with other duties as assigned
