Job Description
Coastal Roots Farm (CRF) is a nonprofit Jewish community farm and education center dedicated to cultivating healthy, connected communities by blending sustainable agriculture, food justice, and ancient Jewish wisdom. Founded in 2014 through incubation by the Leichtag Foundation and achieving 501(c)(3) public charity status in 2015, CRF operates on approximately 17 acres of land in Encinitas, CA, recognized as indigenous territory of the Kumeyaay and Luiseño peoples. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in customer service
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability for variable hours including evenings
- Ability to work mostly outdoors and occasionally indoors
- Willingness to work in a diverse and inclusive environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate outdoor terrain
- Basic computer skills for point of sale systems
Job Qualifications

- Excellent communication, computer, sales, cash handling, and time management skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- High levels of attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for working in a high energy team environment
- Experience working in customer service

- Experience with food preparation, catering, or serving (not required)
Job Duties
- Set up and take down equipment including chairs, tables, AV systems, projector, lights, water stations, waste removal, and other necessary items
- Ensure all facilities are clean, organized, and safe for visitors and staff
- Facilitate the proper organization and cleanliness of event and program spaces
- Welcome guests to the Farm and facilitate check-in
- Inspect inventory to ensure proper supplies
- Serve food and drinks to attendees
- Clean and return equipment to proper storage space
