Job Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of appropriate experience
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Proficiency in office and communication technologies
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with senior-level executives and external partners
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screenings including background checks, motor vehicle check, credit check, and drug screening
- Official sealed transcripts and original NACES evaluation if applicable before employment start
- Must be able to work at the Broward Campuses location in Davie, FL
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in calendar management and travel coordination
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders including community leaders and academic teams
- Experience with event planning and program coordination
- Competence in data collection, monitoring, reporting, and presentation development
Job Duties
- Support the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Broward Campuses
- Maintain the AVP's calendar including coordinating calendar events for the AVP and Broward administrative team
- Arrange meetings and conferences, send doodle calendars, set up virtual links, send calendar invites, create and distribute agendas and meeting notes
- Coordinate and book all travel for the AVP including managing spend authorizations, expense reports, and reservations
- Secure and schedule conference rooms and ensure technology readiness for in-person meetings
- Coordinate planning and scheduling of events and special guests for FAU Broward Campuses including submitting audiovisual and room setup work orders, managing parking requests and invoicing
- Provide support for special projects including background research and PowerPoint presentations
- Send out emails and memos on behalf of AVP, proofreading and correcting as needed
