Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in program coordination or senior services preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with a vibrant personality
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build relationships with community organizations
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Three years’ experience in programs and/or senior services preferred
  • Experience with public relations is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creative and energetic personality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of recreational and social programming for older adults

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and execute all aspects of the recreational, spiritual, and activity needs of the community
  • Plan and manage the activity calendar including scheduling and executing all events
  • Create and oversee schedules for community bus service
  • Decoratively enhance the community environment for various celebrations and events
  • Research, interview, and hire entertainment for community events
  • Establish and maintain relationships with outside sources such as local senior centers, religious groups, libraries, hospitals, high schools, and local merchants
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless program delivery and resident satisfaction
