Job Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have at least two years of related experience
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends
  • Must adhere to all university policies and state regulations related to the safety and protection of minors
  • Must be able to attend weekend and evening events
  • Must be able to complete federal Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with and willingness to stay current with social media applications
  • Knowledge of standard proofreading
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn about website builders and content management systems
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent administrative and organization skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to function well in a complex institutional framework
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Plan, implement and execute special events, programs and conferences for the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and the College of Engineering
  • Supervise, direct and coordinate event personnel and vendors
  • Provide post-event analysis, budget summaries and participation feedback
  • Maintain working relationships with vendors, venues and stakeholders
  • Manage and update conference and event registration and webpages in accordance with clients' needs
  • Maintain and update conferences and events using event management software
  • Assist in annual reporting for conferences and events
