Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field with one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- valid driver's license
- flexible work schedule including occasional weekends
- ability to pass six-month probationary period
- certification in First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain within six months
- regular and predictable attendance
- physical ability to perform job functions including lifting and standing
- ability to work cooperatively with others
- compliance with safe driving policies when operating vehicles
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- one year of supervisory experience preferred
- certification in First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain within six months
- knowledge of recreation administration principles
- proficiency with computers and relevant software
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to develop and manage budgets
- experience with program planning and evaluation
- ability to work collaboratively with community and staff
Job Duties
- Plan programs, events, activities, camps and tournaments
- supervise, train, hire and evaluate assigned employees, volunteers and interns
- oversee program instructors and manage contract agreements
- prepare objectives and written plans for programs and special events
- address needs of participants with disabilities
- prepare annual budget proposals
- coordinate volunteer recruitment and training
- create publicity and promotional materials
- schedule and coordinate facility use and safety inspections
- manage daily operations of the facility
- enter data into scheduling and reservation software
- serve as liaison to community groups
- respond to citizen inquiries and complaints
- manage social media and volunteer task force activities
- perform other related duties as assigned
