Job Requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Three years or more of experience working in youth development programs
- One year or more of supervisory experience in a youth development program
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to problem solve and resolve conflict
- Strong computer skills with word processing, spreadsheet and database software
- Attention to detail and confidentiality
- Knowledge of standard office equipment such as copiers and phone systems
- Current state approved first-aid certification at hire or within 90 days
- Current state approved infant/child or community CPR certification at hire or within 90 days
Job Qualifications

- Demonstrated attention to detail and confidentiality of evaluative information
- Knowledge of standard office equipment such as copiers and phone systems
- Current state approved first-aid certification
- Current state approved infant/child (or community if school aged) CPR certification
- College degree preferred
- One year or more of demonstrated experience in program development and implementation preferred
- Prior experience in training coordination and implementation preferred
- Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations preferred
- Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful
- Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered
Job Duties
- Support the design and implementation of the YGS Youth, Family and Community services plan
- Support the design and pilot implementation of new service offerings that support youth, family and community needs through partnership with staff at YMCA locations
- Professionally engage with parents/guardians to provide pertinent information about their child's experience and promote upcoming programs
- Maintain required records according to YMCA standards
- Compile program statistics and provide reports as required for assigned programs
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in programs
- Ensure that safety procedures are followed and that all programs are in compliance with YMCA best practices and any other applicable standards through on-site visits
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
- May support logistics of meetings and trainings
- Perform other duties as assigned
