Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • three years of related experience
  • master’s degree preferred
  • progressively responsible program or project coordination experience in health or public health
  • proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
  • comfort with project management and data tools
  • strong analytic and communication skills
  • knowledge of HIPAA and human-subjects protections
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to travel up to 35% across rural Alabama
  • ability to complete CITI training within 30 days of hire
  • adherence to University and sponsor policies and ethical standards

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as public health, nursing, health administration, social work, or closely related field
  • three years of related experience
  • master's degree preferred
  • three years of progressively responsible program or project coordination experience in health, public health, or community-based initiatives
  • experience with HRSA or state-funded projects
  • ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder meetings
  • develop SOPs
  • manage MOUs and other agreements
  • proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams/SharePoint)
  • comfort using project tools such as Smartsheet or Asana
  • experience with data tools such as REDCap or Qualtrics
  • strong analytic skills including pivot tables and charts
  • experience producing dashboards
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • interpersonal effectiveness
  • strong organization and time management
  • attention to detail
  • initiative
  • ability to understand HIPAA and human-subjects protections

  • ability to travel across rural Alabama
  • experience in maternal-child health and rural health systems preferred
  • familiarity with ADPH operations, Medicaid referral and reimbursement pathways, mobile health services, and nurse home-visiting programs
  • experience preparing federal or state grant reports and maintaining audit-ready documentation

Job Duties

  • Stand up and maintain weekly internal huddles
  • develop agendas, minutes, decisions, and action logs
  • manage calendars, meeting logistics, and documentation for RMOMS meetings
  • coordinate travel and reimbursements
  • handle procurements and requisitions
  • maintain a central repository with version control for all program artifacts
  • manage partner onboarding, contact lists, and the MOU/DSA pipeline
  • coordinate with community partners to secure timely signatures
  • support drafting, review, and implementation of governance artifacts
  • plan and execute orientation sessions
  • maintain attendance and training records
  • design the minimum dataset and data flow
  • schedule and document data quality checks
  • maintain data dictionaries and update schedules
  • prepare monthly/quarterly dashboards and narrative summaries
  • compile sponsor reports ensuring timely submission
  • support IRB submissions and data-sharing agreements
  • coordinate cross-organization workflows
  • maintain quick-reference guides and points-of-contact
  • track adoption, throughput, and feedback
  • facilitate rapid-cycle improvements
  • organize outreach calendars and community engagement events
  • assist with budget tracking and reconciliation
  • prepare purchase orders, contracts, and vendor payments
  • ensure adherence to policies and maintain participant confidentiality
  • maintain a risk/issue log and escalate barriers
  • draft project briefs, partner updates, orientation materials, and slide decks
  • support abstracts, presentations, and publications
  • serve as point-of-contact for partners, stakeholders, and vendors
  • perform other related duties as directed to support the programs of the School of Nursing and R-MOMS
