Job Requirements

  • Associate degree plus minimum three years of residential property management experience
  • or high school diploma or equivalent plus seven years of residential property management experience
  • working knowledge of HUD housing and tenant and eviction laws
  • ability to obtain Certified Occupancy Specialist certification within six months of employment
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work flexible schedule including over 40 hours per week and on-call weekend rotations
  • ability to maintain positive relations with residents, employees, contractors, and the public
  • ability to conduct property inspections and manage multiple housing sites
  • willingness to travel frequently for inspections, training, and supervision

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Train, motivate, and retain staff
  • schedule supervision time with Community Administrator
  • articulate expectations for job performance, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance
  • supervise Senior Housing Community Administrator ensuring bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations
  • assist Senior Director of Housing with staff training and development
  • promote communication across senior housing locations and VOANR housing portfolio
  • schedule biweekly meetings with Program Managers in other regions
  • gather data and report to Senior Director including income verification and compliance
  • execute auditing and prepare operational aspects including REAC, MOR, financial, and physical building reviews
  • submit required reports to management agent or government
  • schedule and participate in on-call duty rotation
  • inspect properties to ensure maintenance of buildings and grounds
  • ensure adherence to HUD rules for properties and residents
  • perform other duties as assigned
