Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred college degree
  • Two years of leadership experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to analyze problems, collect data, and make decisions
  • Positive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret medical and legal documents
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 150 pounds with assistance
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions and travel frequently

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate daily base activities of flight nurse and flight paramedics by visiting the base regularly
  • Collaborate with Base Pilot Supervisor regarding pilot activities
  • Assure proper shift coverage and secure replacement staff for absences
  • Review and approve electronic payroll of medical crew
  • Resolve medically related flight problems or issues as they occur
  • Implement improvements to medical staff and base efficiency
  • Maintain and organize medical equipment, supplies, and facility
  • Oversee base spending and financial reporting
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings with safety officer including preparing agendas and minutes
  • Ensure compliance with policies for work-related injuries and exposures
  • Collaborate with educators, medical directors, and communications supervisors to resolve deficiencies
  • Delegate assignments and hold medical staff accountable
  • Develop and promote professional growth of medical crew members
  • Ensure licensure, certifications, and clinical requirements compliance
  • Interview, hire, and orient new medical staff
  • Prepare annual employee evaluations and carry out disciplinary actions
  • Participate in hiring pilots and mechanics, collaborate on maintenance and aviation issues
  • Manage marketing and business development including customer relations and PR activities
  • Attend EMS, hospital, and advisory group meetings
  • Perform other essential functions as assigned
