Job Requirements

  • Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year culinary arts, food science, or product development program
  • Basic culinary skills and foundational food science knowledge
  • Ability to work full-time onsite from June 1 to August 6, 2026
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Suite applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Willingness to provide innovative ideas and strategic thinking

Job Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled student in culinary arts, food science, or product development programs
  • Basic culinary skills with knowledge of food science and process development
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to connect concepts and innovate
  • Flexibility to pivot and adapt as needed

Job Duties

  • Support the full development cycle by following the written stage gate process to bring a product or service from concept to final presentation to the category team
  • Conduct research by working with the innovation team to perform online research, competitive shopping, and vendor discussions to identify trends and understand customer needs
  • Develop prototypes by collaborating with the product developer and R&D Chef to source ingredients, create concepts, and build products that can be replicated at the store level
  • Test and analyze products by coordinating with the innovation and insights teams to schedule and execute Central Location Tests (CLTs)
  • Provide strategic insights by bringing new ways of thinking and fresh ideas to enhance the current development and stage gate processes
  • Work collaboratively within a team and independently to manage project timelines and deliverables
  • Assist in documenting findings and preparing reports for team review
