Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- AA degree in related field or two years or more work experience in the senior industry or related field
- valid driver’s license
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to present in small and large groups
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and LCS applications
- excellent interpersonal skills
- willingness to work with elderly residents

Job Duties
- assist with planning and coordinating activities and events including discussion groups, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, off-property trips, special events, IT support, in-house movies, instructional courses, seminars, workshops, presentations, and holiday parties
- develop and maintain relationships with lecturers, volunteers, community resources, and performers who provide programming to residents
- encourage residents to participate in activities and host special events as needed
- manage policies and procedures for independent living recreation services based on residents’ social, psychological, and physical needs according to company guidelines
- submit work orders to appropriate departments in a timely manner
- ensure arrangement and setup/take down of all audiovisual equipment for events and introduce and close speakers or entertainers
- obtain and document vendor information for flyers and sign-up sheets including bios and program details
- organize and follow through on all accounting details for events requiring payment
- maintain familiarity with budget guidelines within the department
- protect the confidentiality of resident information
- organize and arrange all subscriptions set up by the Program Department including purchasing, ticket exchanges, sign-ups, advertising, payment, and accounting procedures
