Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Women and Gender Studies, Social Work, Ethnic Studies, Sociology, Anthropology or related field
  • Four years related work experience or Associate's Degree plus two years related work experience
  • One year related work experience
  • Professional experience in intersectional and population organizations or higher education
  • Strong knowledge of intersectional analysis and issues facing diverse student groups
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and supervisory skills
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to engage diverse communities
  • Proven success in program development addressing diverse identities and student persistence
  • Experience with Google Workspace tools
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow verbal instructions
  • Preferred supervisory and mentorship experience
  • Excellent advocacy skills
  • Experience facilitating meetings and group activities
  • Experience with funding appeals and grant writing
  • Bilingual in Spanish or American Sign Language
  • Social media management and web content design experience
  • Familiarity with ACC’s culture and policies
  • Collaborative management style

Job Duties

  • Assist students, staff, and faculty with information and history related to intersectional analysis and Center programming
  • Perform administrative functions including handling correspondence, mail, telephone and email
  • Arrange conference calls and maintain the Center's schedule
  • Design and produce promotional materials such as handouts, flyers, newsletters, brochures, and manuals
  • Maintain and update webpages and manage social media to enhance the Center's visibility
  • Partner with internal ACC committees and community organizations to support events and initiatives
  • Manage the program budget and support financial transaction processing
  • Administer evaluation instruments and surveys in collaboration with institutional research to analyze student population needs
  • Maintain databases and provide Center reporting
  • Collaborate with Alumni Services to engage students through graduation or transfer
  • May be assigned special projects
