Job Requirements

  • Master's degree or relevant experience equivalency
  • One year post-bachelor's or nine months graduate assistantship in relevant field
  • Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within 60 days
  • Ability to respond to emergencies within 30 minutes
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Successful background check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution or relevant equivalent experience
  • Experience in collegiate recreation, athletics, or commercial/city recreation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within 60 days of employment
  • Experience in student program development and assessment
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Create, market, implement, and assess intramural sports and special events programs
  • Develop and manage program budgets
  • Supervise graduate assistants, program assistants, sports officials, and intramural supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with risk management and safety protocols
  • Provide 24/7 emergency on-call response as necessary
  • Collaborate with Assistant Director for Recreation Programs on strategic planning
  • Foster student engagement and community building through recreational activities
