Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or other post-secondary education
  • Two or more years of experience in an office environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Skilled in data entry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Two or more years of office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with Google Drive, Sheets, and Forms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Commitment to BYU mission
  • Familiarity with BYU systems AIM, faculty profile, and Learning Suite preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with event coordination and data management advantageous

Job Duties

  • Coordinate undergraduate research award submission deadlines and forms
  • Evaluate and review over 200 research proposals for compliance
  • Monitor compliance of experience paragraphs
  • Collect and verify data for student wage determination
  • Manage physical key and electronic card access for building
  • Communicate with students regarding training and key procedures
  • Maintain key fee and audit records
  • Arrange building re-keys and request new keys
  • Monitor training completion and grant electronic access
  • Update ID card and lab access
  • Conduct annual key inventory and report lost keys
  • Evaluate data to determine TA award finalists and awardees
  • Request approval for selected awardees
  • Send award letters and collect thank-you letters
  • Integrate and compile annual university resource planning statistics
  • Maintain and update departmental email lists
  • Assist in event planning and execution including graduation and orientation
  • Manage undergraduate advisement appointments and communication
  • Facilitate senior exit interviews and prepare portfolios
  • Support department chairs with appointment scheduling and stewardship interviews
  • Prepare confidential faculty summary packets
  • Facilitate faculty document signatures
  • Administer faculty profiles with publications and presentations
  • Manage faculty key requests and building access
  • Coordinate student URA and portfolio submissions
