Job Requirements
- High school degree or GED
- 1-2 years of experience
- Must obtain valid Food Handler Certification License within one year of hire
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Agency-specified automobile insurance
- Background check including any program specific requirements
- Ability to kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
- Ability to push and pull objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb up and down up to 3 or more flights of stairs at a time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Experience with performance evaluation and staff development
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports for program improvement
- Preferred 3-5 years of experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and data entry systems
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation principles and special dietary needs
- Familiarity with local routes and navigation apps or GPS
- Flexibility to work in different weather conditions and adapt to traffic changes
- Ability to handle unexpected situations or client concerns
- Capability to work collaboratively with volunteers, staff members, and other stakeholders
Job Duties
- Coordinates daily food distribution to assigned sites
- Follows all safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines
- Drives agency vehicle safely and reports issues promptly
- Acts as liaison between drivers and agency sites
- Maintains accurate records per organization and regulatory standards
- Handles food delivery inquiries for assigned sites
- Works professionally with staff and partners
- Complies with all relevant laws and policies
- Travels between sites and fills in as needed
- Completes assigned special projects
- Willingness to travel between sites and work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
