Job Requirements

  • Must be a self-driven, self-starter individual with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to edit work for spelling and grammar, present numerical data effectively, and interpret written information
  • Sound decision-making and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, work independently, prioritize projects with deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple projects
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, email, internet applications, social media, and internet research
  • Ability to work as a part-time, non-exempt staff member including some evenings and weekends
  • Valid California state driver’s license
  • Clearance of background check
  • Become a registered member of GSUSA and GSCCS
  • Access to reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, or community engagement preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Strong written communication skills including editing and data presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases, email, internet, and social media platforms
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed
  • Valid California state driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Plan and conduct safe and engaging product programs that promote teamwork, leadership, goal setting, communication, and money management skills
  • Distribute fulfilled girl product orders and recognitions while managing receipts and money collection accurately
  • Serve as Product Program Coordinator for Council troops and Juliettes
  • Attend product program training and communicate training needs to leaders, girls, and parents
  • Meet all product and program deadlines according to GSCCS guidelines
  • Collect, verify, and submit troop product orders and recognitions using digital systems
  • Maintain precise transaction records and submit reports on time
  • Deposit money collected from parents and girls into troop accounts and make payments to Council by deadlines
  • Ensure adherence to GSCCS policies and safety guidelines within product programs
  • Provide coverage for product cupboard and other duties as assigned
  • Support girl and volunteer recruitment through community organizing and event planning
  • Schedule and conduct program product meetings, encouraging participation and maintaining safety standards
  • Maintain communication with girls and families, including office hours and check-ins
  • Deliver excellent customer service to participating girls and families
  • Assist with event logistics, setup, and teardown
  • Support fundraising and resource development initiatives
  • Collaborate with departments to meet member and program needs
  • Other duties to support Council departments as assigned
