Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a related field supplemented by three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Knowledge of education and curriculum design principles
  • Ability to understand and implement elements of community-based programming
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Organization and planning skills

Job Duties

  • Plan, implement, and oversee youth and community-based athletic programs, leagues, and special events across all three regions of the Park District
  • Ensure high-quality programming that promotes skill development, sportsmanship, safety, and positive youth engagement
  • Collaborate with supervisors, instructors, grant funding partners, and site staff to deliver structured, inclusive, and well-organized athletic experiences
  • Travel across all three regions to support programming, staff, and site operations
  • Oversee site logistics including scheduling, equipment distribution, and facility setup
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and coordinate vendor or partner relationships
  • Work evenings and weekends as required to support league play, tournaments, and special events
