Job Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level
  • Knowledge of military command structure and operational programs
  • Ability to apply analytical techniques to program evaluation
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Federal time-in-grade requirement of one year at GS-12 grade
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and project management
  • Ability to work within federal agency guidelines and policies

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of qualitative and quantitative assessment methods
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal administrative laws, policies, and regulations
  • Familiarity with DoD and Air Force planning and acquisition processes
  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Ability to lead teams and negotiate program changes effectively

Job Duties

  • Apply expert knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods to assess and improve command plans and military operations
  • Evaluate effectiveness of mission and flight operations including tactical airlift and deployment activities
  • Analyze program goals, operational sequences, and timing of key military events
  • Develop and conduct studies for improving program operations and organizational productivity
  • Prepare and review acquisition documentation including Statements of Work and contractor evaluations
  • Lead projects and negotiate with management to implement program recommendations
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to gain cooperation using tact and diplomacy
