Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of professional cooking experience with demonstrated expertise in Indian and/or Mediterranean cuisine
- Strong understanding of spices, herbs, and authentic cooking techniques
- Proven ability to manage a busy kitchen and lead a team
- Creativity and passion for developing unique, flavorful menus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Food safety and sanitation certification preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and present high-quality Indian and Mediterranean dishes with consistency and creativity
- Develop and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold quality and efficiency
