Job Duties

  • Set up the Den for service daily by preparing teas, iced coffee, and other beverages that can be completed before service
  • Bake Danish pastries
  • Make sandwiches and salads
  • Set up fruit cups for service
  • Organize products and supplies for daily service
  • Service customers as they come into the Den
  • Handle cash register duties including counting cash, taking cash from customers, and making change
  • Create coffee and other beverage orders
  • Take inventory at the end of each day
  • Report to the Chef regarding any needs the Den may have
  • Clean up the Den at the close of business including wrapping syrups, organizing the refrigerator, rotating milk, and cleaning the refrigerator bottom
  • Flush the espresso machine bi-weekly in coordination with the lab technician to ensure proper machine function
  • Restock all cups, lids, napkins, cup sleeves, and coffee supplies for the next business day
  • Organize the North Hall storage area and maintain inventory
