Job Requirements

  • high school graduate preferred
  • graduate of approved culinary program preferred
  • one year of experience in a food production environment with responsibility of food production and cooking
  • ability to read, interpret, and expand recipes
  • ability to handle routine heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand entire shift
  • ability to bend and stretch to put pans in and out of ovens

Job Duties

  • read and interpret recipes to prepare food items
  • cook various foods according to established recipes and safety standards
  • operate kitchen equipment safely including ovens and mixers
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
  • handle heavy lifting and physical tasks such as pushing and pulling carts
  • adhere to safety guidelines to prevent cuts, burns, slips, and falls
  • ensure compliance with health standards including blood borne pathogen protocols
