Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in an engineering related field or equivalent experience
  • Four years experience in a production and/or engineering environment
  • Strong leadership capabilities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Preferred experience in food/beverage manufacturing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of operational electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience with troubleshooting and Lean Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of SQF and food safety/quality responsibilities
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently
  • Flexible to work alternate shifts
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously
  • Ability to work in ambient hot and/or cold seasonal environments
  • Ability to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time
  • Comfortable working in repetitive work environment

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of operational electrical and mechanical systems
  • Troubleshooting and Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of SQF and responsibility for food safety and quality
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an organized manner
  • Flexibility to work alternate shifts

Job Duties

  • Drive production and manufacturing results through ownership and accountability
  • Ensure budgeted performance and meet line performance objectives including changeover objectives
  • Maintain washouts to required timelines and limit downtime
  • Collaborate with maintenance for operations/maintenance handshakes and PM program adherence
  • Deliver effective briefs, reports, and conduct shift meetings
  • Attend daily inter-department meetings to coordinate plans, ensure GMP and SQF compliance, and verify QC checks
  • Monitor and update SOPs continually
  • Plan and execute effective line startups and new product runs
  • Implement training matrix, document expert knowledge, and track training effectiveness
  • Lead projects including capital improvements, new product runs, and issue investigations
  • Attend safety meetings and lead process improvement teams
  • Develop plant operations knowledge and communicate expectations clearly
  • Monitor performance and address inefficiencies through coaching or disciplinary actions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
