Job Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or apprenticeship or certification from culinary school
- Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations including HACCP
- Understanding of financial control concepts including food cost management and waste minimization
- Good communication skills
- Organizational skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications

Job Duties
- Execute and supervise food production activities including cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning and cooking of food items
- Assume responsibilities of Executive Chef during absences such as vacation and off-days including menu presentation to customers
- Supervise, coordinate and control kitchen helpers in food storage ensuring tidiness and adherence to first in-first out principle
- Conduct, coordinate and supervise inventory management
- Monitor material consumption and order required food and equipment daily to meet production plans
- Participate in the development of food products and menus for presentations
- Update and maintain catering manuals and apply necessary revisions
- Execute countermeasures in production in response to customer complaints
- Support training and development of kitchen helpers
- Maintain and monitor hygiene, health and safety standards ensuring HACCP regulation compliance
- Conduct quality control checks and monitor received goods for quality
- Ensure compliance with recipe specifications
- Organize, staff and direct area of responsibility efficiently
- Guide, motivate and develop staff within Human Resources policies
- Promote company values and management principles in the department
- Implement and control cost budgets while initiating corrective actions as needed
- Participate in company initiatives such as Global Quality Standard, HACCP and Lean Manufacturing
