Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged
- experience or strong interest in production and manufacturing
- some experience with excel and word or ability to learn
- basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
- ability to work independently
- good attendance and performance
- physical ability to lift 50-60 pounds frequently
- ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
- able to wear personal protective equipment
- able to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, climb, push, and pull for 10-12 hours
- able to work in loud, warm, humid, dusty, and dirty environments
- able to move heavy objects with mechanical assistance
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or above
- excellent attendance
- 0-2+ years manufacturing, operations, mechanical, or related experience
- able to demonstrate proficiency in one or more areas of production
- independent organization and prioritization of tasks
- ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
- able to read, interpret, apply, and communicate technical information
- effective communication skills both verbal and written
- knowledge of equipment, production, and packaging processes
Job Duties
- safely and efficiently run a wide range of production jobs
- follow written operating procedures and work independently while staying on task
- set up, operate, and shut down large equipment
- collaborate with process engineers, research engineers, production manager, and project managers to complete jobs
- properly review and complete documentation
- meet deadlines and goals set by management
- lift and move 50-60 pounds multiple times per day using pallet jacks and forklifts
- work in dusty environments while wearing personal protective equipment
- bend, squat and stand for 10-12 hour shifts
- move 350-500 pound drums with mechanical assistance
